Serenity

About the Art

About the Art This particular piece of art came to life in 2013. Today it’s my best seller! When I started melting the piece, I was trying to stay calm, focused, and was feeling creative and relaxed. I was drawn to ocean colors. As I kept melting, I trusted myself to know what color to place and I knew when to stop. I saw beautiful blue ocean flowers staring back at me. It had such a tranquil feeling. I was able to take some deep breaths when it was complete. The end result was a spectacular ocean filled with aquatic flowers and jellyfish with soft hues and from it, Serenity was born. The primary color is blue, which represents both the sky, the sea, and is associated with open spaces, freedom, intuition, imagination, inspiration, and sensitivity. Blue also represents meanings of depth, trust, loyalty, sincerity, wisdom, confidence, stability, faith, and intelligence. When you wear this design I want you to feel, peace, confidence, courage, wisdom, and success. It is a soothing color that makes people around you feel comfortable. Research has found that blue causes the human body to produce certain chemicals that have calming properties. Wear this comfortable work of art to feel bold and proud.
Affirmation:
"God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change. The Courage to change the things I can and the Wisdom to know the difference."
Electric Pain Book:
I had the honor of publishing my Serenity design on the back of the novel Electric Pain by Kiara Connolly in 2020. Electric Pain is a skillfully crafted novel written in free verse. This love story takes you through the painful journey and experiences, told through the eyes of someone who was desperately trying to love an alcoholic. So many people have faced this same journey— painfully loving someone through their highs and lows, but never talk about it, or couldn't put it into words. If that's you, this book will bring healing and assurance that you are not alone. It’s a story that brings awareness to those who didn't know how their drinking impacts their loved ones.
